Construction Update

Week of April 6, 2009 (click here for photos)

So much going on...

we hope not to miss anything.

The front of the building certainly came together quickly. We are so pleased to see the matching brick colors from the existing Nursing Home walls and Assisted Living. That can be such a challenge but most would agree that these colors are very close.

Just this past week, there was a very large hole dug for the placement of the grease interceptor. IT WAS HUGE!!! The crane was at it again, placing the large box into its new home. That is all covered up now and we are now ready for the plumbing from the box to connect to the sewer system. We hope to let everyone know in advance of that since the parking lot will be affected by this part of the project.

Most have not seen the progress taking place inside the new dining room but it is also starting to resemble our new dining room. This coming week we are anticipating the ceiling grid, painting, door finishes, fire sprinkler systems, and much more.

The residents are very much anticipating the project being completed and re-occupying their new dining room. The staff and residents are planning for a “Re-Grand Opening”, likely either towards the end of June or the beginning of July. Once a date is selected, invitations will be sent out.

Stay tuned to the website for construction updates…
